I guess I'll step into the breech
Boy, the fam really IS in the doldrums. Can't tell if it means that no one is reading the blog or that no one has much to say these days.
Well, how about if I go over recent tweaks?
- The picture in the header.
- I dimmed the navigation bar (navbar) at the top. Some people find it annoying but I use it when browsing other blogs for ideas and it is a pain when you get to a site where someone has removed it. So I hope this is an acceptable compromise. I can adjust the brightness if anyone wants.
- The calendar should be visible to everyone now. Let me know if it's not. I'm looking for another one that is not so homely.
- The moon phase graphic is pretty cool.
- We now have "This Date in History" to edify/amuse us.
- Last week I put a "Quote of the Day" in the footer. I didn't care much for the quotes so I changed sources.
- Check out the current weather in our locations. Did I leave any place out?
- Last, take a closer look at the "Important Dates" section. You can now click to find what happened on your birthday and who shares your special day.
Let me know about any suggestions you may have. Especially if you don't like something we've added or changed.
Are there any more web sites we could feature? The ones listed have personal significance to us. I'm hoping to add another section of sites we really like, or visit a lot or would recommend. Also if you have blogs that you want to include we could have a section on that. (I'm working on a collection of other fam
ily blogs.)
I'm looking for a way to add a slideshow somewhere.
And we need to get David, Emily and Rusty and Patty on board!

Hey there dad! You've gone blogger crazy!! I check the blogg almost every day, but haven't had much going on, so haven't been adding entries. Here are my thoughts on your additions: a)personally like the header thing a bit brighter b)think looking for a better looking calendar would be a great idea c)like the weather additions and the "this date in history" links!
I have to be honest, I can't say that I check out other blogs, so I don't have many suggestions to make based on things I've seen. I'll try to come up with some links I'd like to add to the featured sites section. The places I go most frequently wouldn't interest the larger group (ie commerce bank and Mahjong). Thanks again for all of your work!
PS- just thought of another thing, can we make the picture at the top a little smaller? I have to scroll to see the next entry in the blog. Does that make sense?

No problems. I'll see if I can do something with the picture. I'm also trying to figure out how to reduce the black space between the title header and the picture header.

Doonesbury is running a spoof on blogs, looks like we have competition from Krispy Kreme. Sarah, is life so short you can't flex your finger to scroll down?
Anyone else getting a little excited for the Browns already? I know, I know, we're not winning the Super Bowl yet. But damn, at least it looks like the front office has a clue!

Temporarily back from China (in time to see the Bucks today !) I cannot view the blog in China....not sure why but everything including the internet is pretty heavily censored.Good new stuff but i'm disappointed all are not yet on board....let's all give them a shove.
