SPONSORSHIP
I was wondering if anyone out there has any tips/suggestions etc on how to go about obtaining sponsorship (however small or large) for our rugby club. Have any of you been involved in obtaining sponsorship? Do you have any good resources (websites, books, anything) that you would recommend?
Currently our entire income is dependent on fundraising and we would like to start padding that with some sponsorship.

Not much help from the Left Coast. All our money is raised from solicited donations (parents are a great source...) and our Rugby under the Lights" event we hold every year (entrance fees, raffle, sales of t-shirts and other rugby paraphenalia, food, etc.). Your brother would probably be your best resource...

If only you had an uncle who was a high ranking executive with a global company who was looking for unique avenues of advertisement to reach a very large and diverse audience, with an organization that travels to all points in the country with possible international travel playing one of the most recognized and supported ($) sports in the world. While at the same time getting great publicity for supporting a grass roots, non-profit organization. Or, if only you had an uncle who could produce and market a rugby themed wine, with a portion of the profits going to the club. If only.
