no one responded to Annie's question about the pics she posted. the top pic is the family gathering after dad's procedure in min-december. during a very in depth conversation about the proper way to poor, store and handle red vs white wine, we found ourselves without the answer to the following question: do you hold a glass of red wine by the bowl or the handle? please see pics of dad's demonstration of the options.

Of course the correct way to hold a red wine is by the glass, not the stem. Since red wine is served at room temp, it is OK to hold it so. White wine is served chilled, thus you hold it by the stem as to not allow your body temp from your hand to warm the wine.
Of course, Billy may reply that I have no idea what I'm talking about, to which I would say, OK, I guess he would probably know. Of course if David told me that I had no idea...wait, David still doesn't read the family blog.

the readings at the house discussing it agreed with your answer. but we weren't 100% sure so thought we'd kill some time taking pics of our lovely father and posting them to the blog...

I think someone with more influence then I have (T , Sarah , or Annie) should bug David and Emily until they give up and join.
