Day 16
Wednesday - August 1
Another lazy day. More blog work and copying Bill’s photos to my laptop. Talked to Al Campassi and convinced him to join us for dinner that evening.
Tonight’s adventure was based around Trivia Night at Murphy’s Pub, a favorite of locals for years although under new management. Jury’s out. We chose a Himalayan restaurant with outdoor seating immediately across the alley from Murphy’s from which we could both eat and play trivia. Food very tasty. We shared everything.
To compete for the prizes teams can be no more than four on a team. We were five with Al. So we shamelessly cheated (knowing that we would be leaving before the prizes (1st, 2nd, 6th and 10th.) were awarded. Even got the two guys sitting next to us at the restaurant to contribute. We thought we had it made with Annie as our ringer for all the young person and pop culture questions but, alas, we were mired in fifth place when we left.
More gelatos, of course. Then home to look at Bill and Caryn’s photos from their Brazil adventure then Al’s pix from this summer’s fishing trip to Alaska with brothers Joe and Jim.
