Got great advice from Caryn and Bill on travel ideas to Yosemite. Talked to Emily from her base camp in Alaska. Bill offered Annie the use of Emily’s tent which she snapped up so fast you would have thought someone’s snoring was
bothering her.
B & C sent us through gold country where we stopped in the restored mining town of Columbia. Horse drawn vehicles only on the streets. The obligatory stage coach offering brief rides to tourists was busy.
Set up camp in Stanislaus National Forest just west of Yosemite National Park.
