Day 28
Monday - August 13

Packed up camp and headed south on Ont 17 to Sault Ste. Marie and back into the good old after waiting almost an hour on the bridge to get through US customs. No one asked if I had abducted
my daughter in Canada and was bringing her back. Got through the UP as quickly as possible and then on over to Traverse City by way of the ritzy Petoskey and the ritzy Charlevois. Then up M 22 to Suttons Bay, west on 204, then onto
Horn Road, a quick left on N. Lake Leelanau Drive and into the Shoaff cottage and grounds. We were greeted by Ned and Judy and the dog in the front yard.

Soon joined by Judy's nephew Nathaniel and his fiancee Leah and a chocolate lab. Nathaniel and Leah invited Annie to join them waterskiing. Annie had tried unsuccesfully on our last visit to get up so was eager to try again. Ned drove and Nathaniel got in the water to help Annie. After several valiant efforts and a few 'almosts' she still couldn't get all the way up and out of the water so we decided to try again another time.
Eunice joined us all for drinks on the dock and the setting sun.
Ned, Judy, Annie and I enjoyed gourmet burgers for dinner, followed by good talk before bed.
