Began the day with some bacon and eggs and re-fried onion rings by the lake before heading into Minnesota. We started entering glacial lake country in eastern South Dakota. We are now completely in it. Small lakes or ponds around every corner - larger lakes everywhere. A refreshing change of pace.

Onto and past Duluth only to find that all campsites were full due to a nearby jazz festival. Went to two motels - both full - but the second called a local B&B for us and found us a room with two beds. So off we went to The WhistleStop B&B and the formidable care of Mrs. Mary Rosatti. Settled in to our loft and then walked, at Mary's suggestion, to the Black Woods restaurant for a lovely meal.
