totally random question for the smart people in my life

steph and i were discussing words that were previously deemed "incorrect" such as ain't or snuck, which are accepted as "standard" or "correct" because they have been made popular my their use.
is there a word to describe this concept? or a phrase?
does this even make sense?
thanks,
s&s

Snuck? What's a snuck? And since when is ain't considered accepted? I believe the appropriate term is bad grammer...
